Protorealism: 50 years of Hyperrealistic Painting continues

Randy has 2 paintings in this Photorealism group show which is traveling through Europe.  The next opening will be on October 15, 2016 at the Osthaus Museum, Hagen, Germany.  The show has also been extended to 2 more museums.  On February 25, 2017 it will open at the Kunsthal Rotterdam, The Netherlands Art Museum and continue there until June 4, 2017.  It will then move to the Tampa Museum of Art, Florida opening on June 30, 2017 until October 22, 2017.  

Harold Gregor Retrospective Show at Peoria Riverfront Museum, Peoria IL

On July 16th we attended the opening of Harold Gregor's show titled, "Changing Perspectives - from Realism to Color-formed Space" at the Peoria Riverfront Museum in Peoria, IL.  It will be on exhibition from July 16th through October 16th, 2016.  Harold Gregor was Randy's art professor when he attended Illinois State University in the 1970s.  The Peoria museum did an excellent job showcasing Harold's work spanning many decades.  Harold's paintings are masterful, stunning and very colorful.  His show will be traveling to the Oakton College Museum in Des Plaines and the Robert Morris College Gallery in March of 2017.  

Photorealism Show opening in Brussels

Photorealism:  50 years of Hyperrealistic Painting Show

The Photorealist show is now installed at the Musee d'ilxelles, Brussels from  June 30, 2016 to September 25, 2016.  Randy has one painting in this group show.  The show had a very successful opening with over 1,100 visitors attending.  

Painting Reference in Norwegian Art Catalog

An image of the painting, Gowanus Canal from 2nd Street, will be included as a reference in a catalog prepared for the Norwegian artist, Leonard Rickhard's art show at the ARoS, Aarhus Museum of Modern Art in Denmark.  Rickhard's show began in February 2016.
